David Schrittesser

I currently work at the Kurt Gödel Research Center for Mathematical Logic (former Institute for Formal Logic) at the University of Vienna. I am writing my dissertation with Sy D. Friedman as my advisor.

My research interests lie in the area of mathematical logic, more specifically, in set theory; even more specifically: I'm interested in forcing axioms, large cardinals and in set theory of the real line. I'm also interested in philosophy, especially philosophy of science.

Teaching

This semester (summer 06) I'm teaching a Proseminar accompanying Jakobs course on set theory .

Thesis

My masters thesis is about a certain class of focing axioms.

Talks

I gave a talk about $\Sigma^1_3$-absoluteness at the Summer Workshop in Fine Structure Theory in July 2003.
I gave a talk about lightface indescribable cardinals in Ralf Schindlers set theory seminar, at the math institute in Münster, in February 2004.
